Last season’s treble winners Bayern Munich are angling for a hardball stance when it comes to selling their Brazilian midfielder Luis Gustavo, slapping a €20m price tag on his head.

Gustavo has been hot in the crosshairs of quite a commendable list of European clubs, with Premier League stalwarts Chelsea and Arsenal as well as Bundesliga side Wolfsburg and Italian icons Internazionale all keeping tabs on the midfielder’s situation.

But those clubs could begin to second-guess their plans on Gustavo once they hear Bayern’s valuation of the player. Sure enough, according to Germany daily the Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, the Allianz Arena outfit will take no less than €20m to let go of their highly-rated midfielder.

And while no club are yet to meet that value, Wolfsburg, for their part, are believed to have already submitted a €15.5m, offer, subject to Bayern Munich’s approval.

Gustavo, who signed for Bayern Munich from fellow German side Hoffenheim in 2011, has a contract that ties him at the Allianz arena until 2015.

Gustavo has already had 10 caps for Brazil under his belt, having made his international debut against Germany on 10th August 2011.

Chances under new coach Pep Guardiola at the Allianz Arena are thought to be limited for the midfielder.
