Liverpool starlet Dani Pacheco is edging towards the exit door at Anfield, with talks over a separation between club and player under way.

Pacheco is poised to join Spanish side Cordoba and, according to El Diario de Cordoba, the forward is speaking with Liverpool about a departure, which will see him then able to return to his homeland.

Cordoba CF currently ply their trade in the Spanish second tier and Pacheco would be a welcome addition to coach Pablo Villa's squad.

Pacheco has spent several loan stints away from Liverpool in recent years, with finding a spot in the club's squad a difficult task.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed loan spells with Norwich City, Atletico Madrid, Rayo Vallecano and, for the second half of last season, Huesca.

At second tier side Huesca, Pacheco made 19 league appearances, scoring five times in what was seen as a successful spell.

He joined Liverpool from Barcelona's youth ranks in 2007 and has appeared for Spain at every youth level from the country's Under-16s to the Under-21s.
