Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has suggested that Luiz Gustavo may want to move to a bigger club than Wolfsburg.

The Wolves are leading the chase for the defensive midfielder, though Gustavo has also been linked with English Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea, along with Italian outfit Inter.

Gustavo is thought to be available for transfer, with a €20m asking price slapped on his head, as new coach Pep Guardiola has no space in his squad for the 26-year-old.

And Rummenigge wants the situation to be quickly resolved, although he does insist the ball is in Gustavo's court, especially with regard to which club he chooses to join.

"We're going to resolve the situation calmly", the CEO told Sport 1.

"I do not think that we will come up with a decision within days.

"It's important of course whether Luiz wants to join a side without a European ticket. Maybe he wants something bigger?"

Rummenigge then stressed that the former Hoffenheim man is the only player whom Bayern Munich are ready to sell.

"In any case, he is the only player who may leave.

"We will not sell any more players in order to keep the squad intact. Bayern do not have a shallow squad, but we must take into account all competitions.

"We are playing in the Bundesliga, the Champions League, the Club World Cup. We need just such a squad."
