Championship side Queens Park Rangers are angling to bring Liverpool winger Oussama Assaidi to Loftus Road on loan, manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed.

Assaidi landed at Anfield last summer and, though deprived of first team opportunities, did exhibit good work rate and footwork in his 12 appearances for the club, particularly in Liverpool's Europa League campaign.

And Redknapp wants to bring Assaidi to London as the R's continue bolstering their squad in their bid for promotion.

"I am interested in trying to loan Assaidi from Liverpool, but I'm not quite sure where we're at with that one at the moment", the former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham boss told a press conference, via his club's feed.

Assaidi, who signed for Liverpool last summer after a three-year stint with Eredivisie side Heerenveen, has a contract with the Merseyside giants until 2016.

Assaidi plays for Morocco at international level, having already earned a total 13 caps.
