Tottenham Hotspur could be readying a €15m bid for Dinamo Zagreb youngster Alen Halilovic just over a month after Roma snapped up Tin Jedvaj from the same club.

The Croatian duo had been catching the eye of major clubs this summer, and Roma managed to beat Spurs to Jedvaj's signature back in early July.

It appears Spurs do not want to take a chance on midfielder Halilovic and, according to Croatian daily Sportske Novosti, a €15m offer has been mooted.

Adding fuel to the fire was the visit of Sead Halilovic – Alen's father – to Manchester last weekend for the Nike Premier Cup, where his younger son Dino was playing.

It is understood that Sead had stayed back in England for talks with Tottenham over his son, who, at just 17, has already made 25 appearances for Dinamo.

He even boasts six Champions League qualifying games, but the size of Spurs' reported bid may come as somewhat of a surprise.

Nevertheless, Dinamo executive director Zdravko Mamic could be tempted into cashing in on the talented midfielder, who has also taken the step up to Croatia's national team.

His crowning moment – and only cap so far – came in June this year when was brought on as a 50th-minute substitute in a friendly against Portugal, even as Croatia lost 1-0.
