Arsenal look to have turned their attention firmly away from Liverpool talisman Luis Suarez and towards Turkey, and Galatasaray's prolific marksman Burak Yilmaz.

The pressure is growing on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to dip into his £70m summer transfer kitty, with the only arrival at the Emirates Stadium so far young French striker Yaya Sanogo.

As the Gunners lost 3-1 at home against Aston Villa yesterday, an Arsenal fan directly behind Wenger held up a placard screaming 'Spend, Spend, Spend'.

Now Gunners fans could be about to get their wish however.

According to Tutto Mercato, it is Yilmaz who is now front and centre on Arsenal's radar, with a bid of €25m expected to be submitted for the Galatasaray striker.

Yilmaz has already admitted that it is up to Galatasaray to decide his future if they receive an offer for his services this summer, while the Turkey international has spoken positively about Arsenal in the past.

The 28-year-old has been consistently linked with English sides in recent years, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur having been credited with an interest.

The Turkey striker has been deadly in front of goal over the last three seasons, with Super Lig goal returns of 19, 33 and 24.
