In-demand Serbian attacking midfielder-cum-forward Adem Ljajic is likely to leave Fiorentina, the club's president has conceded, promising some clarity over the player's future next week.

Ljajic has only one year left on his contract with Vincenzo Montella's men and has so far not put pen to paper on an extension, with club and player unable to reach an agreement.

It is little surprise therefore that the 21-year-old has been linked with leaving La Viola.

AC Milan had seemed to be Ljajic's preferred destination, with talk the Serbian even turned down Tottenham Hotspur to smooth a path to the San Siro. But recently Milan CEO Adriano Galliani declared the club's transfer business done for this summer.

More recent entrants into the Ljajic race are Liverpool and Galatasaray, while Atletico Madrid are also monitoring proceedings.

And Della Valle has promised the club's fans that Ljajic's future will be decided soon.

"Next week we will take a decision, so give us a few more days", the Fiorentina president told Tuttosport.

"Personally I want to keep him, of course, but we must understand the intentions of the player and the atmosphere [at the club].

"Ljajic could still stay at Fiorentina, but it is unlikely to happen."
