Steven Gerrard has lauded Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers’ transfer activities this summer and has hinted that the club may add a few more players to their ranks before the closure of the current window.

The Reds have signed five players thus far, namely, Kolo Toure, Iago Aspas, Simon Mignolet, Luis Alberto and Aly Cissokho.

On the other hand, Liverpool have parted company with Oussama Assaidi, Stewart Downing, Jay Spearing, Pepe Reina and Andy Carroll amongst others.

And Gerrard feels that the changes made by Rodgers have been very positive and he hopes to see a few more new players at the club before 2nd September.

"The changes the manager has made during the summer are really positive and hopefully there are still one or two more players to come in", he was quoted as saying by the club’s official site.

One of those new players who could potentially arrive at Liverpool this term is Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Mamadou Sakho.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield, which has only intensified following an injury to Kolo Toure.
