Schalke are moving to complete the capture of Kevin-Prince Boateng from AC Milan for a fee of between €12m and €15m.

The Bundesliga outfit have confirmed that the Ghana international midfielder is currently undergoing a medical at their facilities ahead of a switch.

No hiccups are expected and Boateng is likely to be confirmed as a Schalke player long before the transfer window slams shut on 2nd September.

Schalke have been boosted by qualification for the group stage of the Champions League, secured away at PAOK Salonika on Tuesday evening.

Now the Ruhr giants, who have had a lacklustre start to the new season, are set to land Boateng.

The player has experienced German football before, with a spell at Hertha Berlin under his belt.

He joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2007 before landing at Portsmouth, eventually switching to AC Milan in 2010.

Boateng won the Serie A title in his first season at the Rossoneri.
