Kyrgiakos Papadopoulos could still leave Schalke before the transfer window slams shut, with the Greek international being courted by Liverpool and Zenit St. Petersburg.

Schalke have concluded their transfer business for the summer and will not be moving to close any last minute deals, however, according to German magazine Kicker, Papadopoulos could still be sold.

The Greek defender has been strongly linked with English giants Liverpool and Russian powerhouses Zenit, with each big fans of the centre-back.

What price Schalke might demand for Papadopoulos is unclear, but the defender is not at present thinking of leaving the Ruhr outfit.

Barring a late bid and a turnaround in thinking on the part of Papadopoulos, Schalke coach Jens Keller should be able to count on the defender for the season.

Papadopoulos does though remain the only Schalke player who could be sold today, even if Julian Draxler is widely admired.
