Robin van Persie is closing in on Dennis Bergkamp, who sits second on the list of all-time goalscorers for the Holland national team.

The Manchester United striker scored a 94th minute penalty for Louis van Gaal's men against Estonia last night, to help Holland salvage a 2-2 draw.

The goal is Van Persie's 36th for his country and places him a single goal behind Arsenal legend Bergkamp, who scored 37 in a career spanning from 1990 until 2000 and taking in 79 caps.

Van Persie has so far won 77 caps and now has 36 strikes to his name.
