Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has admitted that the club's League Cup match against Manchester United on Wednesday night is "massive".
The Reds have been handed a tough task with a trip to Old Trafford as they bid to put together a run in the cup competition, which has taken on added importance due to Liverpool being out of Europe this season.
However, Rodgers' men will be boosted by having beaten Manchester United in the Premier League earlier this term, winning 1-0 at Anfield.
The former Reading manager is in no doubt though as to the size of the task facing his side, conceding that matches between Liverpool and Manchester United are always tight affairs.

"It's a game that no matter what competition it's in, Liverpool v Manchester United is always a massive game", Rodgers said via LFC TV.
"It's certainly one that we're going there looking to get through into the next round. After the disappointment of the weekend, it's great to get back on the field again.
"They're always close games, always tight games. I'm really looking forward to going there. We'll probably have over 7,000 supporters there, which will be brilliant."
Both Liverpool and Manchester United suffered defeats in the Premier League this weekend, Rodgers' side losing 1-0 to Southampton and David Moyes' outfit being beaten 4-1 by Manchester City.
