Brazilian starlet Lucas Piazon expects to help Vitesse rise to the Eredivisie summit, after scoring twice during the Arnhem-based club's 3-0 victory over PEC Zwolle yesterday.

Piazon is on a season-long loan at Vitesse from English Premier League giants Chelsea and has instantly settled in well to the Dutch game.

And the 19-year-old is sure that he can help to power Vitesse to being serious players in this season's Eredivisie title race.

"We can play football", Piazon told Omroep Gelderland.

"I expect to be at the top of the Eredivisie."

However, the Brazilian forward is not getting carried away with his performance against Zwolle and feels he can do even better for coach Peter Bosz.

"You can always improve", said Piazon.

Vitesse currently sit fifth in the Dutch top flight, having collected 11 points from six games so far.

They boast a game in hand of those four clubs above them and can rise to second if they take advantage of it.
