Borussia Dortmund coach Jurgen Klopp has told Chelsea that his side are not in the market to sign Kevin De Bruyne.

Klopp's men have been listed as one of a group of suitors from the Bundesliga, which also includes Bayer Leverkusen, Werder Bremen and Wolfsburg.

De Bruyne has slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and out of Chelsea's matchday squad, with manager Jose Mourinho telling the talented Belgian that the English club's required level is different from that of Werder Bremen, where he spent last season on loan.

De Bruyne's agent has said his client wants to fight for his future at Chelsea, but still the transfer speculation swirls.

But Dortmund are not in the race, Klopp has assured Chelsea.

"We have brought in several players over the summer and we are very happy with the squad we have available", Klopp told the DPA.

"De Bruyne is not one of the players we follow.

"He is at Chelsea and he has the quality to play for Chelsea, even though it is obvious that it can happen that you miss one or two games."

While De Bruyne has cut the figure of someone willing to work hard under Mourinho to regain his spot in the side, it remains to be seen how he might react if his first-team exile continues in the run-up to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
