Lazio and Germany striker Miroslav Klose has used the example of Mesut Ozil's transfer to prove his future destination remains unknown despite receiving offers from the United States.

Klose had last month revealed two "excellent" proposals from clubs in Major League Soccer had reached his doorstep, with the forward's game time at Lazio relatively reduced.

He still has four appearances this season – out of seven in total – and a goal to boot, but his age is seemingly against him and his contract is set to run out next summer.

Lazio boast two strikers aged 25 and below and, with options dimming, Klose believes he could also end up at Kaiserslautern in Germany, the club where he got his first break in 2000.

"I received two offers from the US and I'm now not ruling anything out", Klose was quoted by El Mundo Deportivo as saying.

"I cannot close the door on a return to Kaiserslautern where I started my career. In football you should never rule anything out.

"Ozil's [last-minute] transfer to Arsenal proves that one day we could be in a club but the next we could be in another. I do not know what will happen in the future.

"I'm a player who now analyses things one year at a time, which suits me. I am ageing but I'm satisfied with my fitness because I train at the same rate as the youngsters."
