Barcelona are considering as many as three players ahead of the January transfer window, with the names on the Catalan side's radar being Arsenal's Jack Wilshere, Borussia Dortmund's Ilkay Gundogan and Atletico Madrid's Koke.

The Spanish champions feel there are issues to address in the middle of the park, with Thiago Alcantara having been sold to Bayern Munich in the summer, Alex Song unhappy at a lack of playing time and ready to quit the Camp Nou, and coach Gerardo Martino's desire to have an alternative to Sergio Busquets.

And according to Spanish daily El Mundo Deportivo, that has concentrated minds at the Camp Nou and produced a three-man list from which, in an ideal world, the Catalans could sign all three.

Uppermost in the Spanish club's mind is Wilshere, in whom Barcelona scouts took a special interest from their initial work in watching Song ahead of the Cameroonian's move to Catalunya.

Gundogan meanwhile has still to extend a contract at Dortmund which expires in 2015 and that has fuelled Barcelona's hopes of snapping up the midfielder.

And Koke has begun to rise to prominence with Atletico Madrid, something which has not been lost on Barcelona's talent-spotters.

It is also hoped the good relationship between the two clubs, further smoothed by Barcelona selling David Villa to Atletico Madrid for a bargain price in the summer, can ease a transition for Koke to the Camp Nou.
