Germany's top clubs will be on high alert over their players after news that Paris Saint-Germain are looking at one of Arjen Robben, Julian Draxler and Marco Reus for a winter transfer.
According to L'Equipe, PSG boss Laurent Blanc is keen to add a left midfielder to his ranks, and the players from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Schalke respectively have been identified.
The January transfer window will undoubtedly see more interest in the trio, and not just from PSG, especially for Draxler who is the youngest of the lot.
Robben, meanwhile, is poised to sign a contract extension at Bayern Munich, and Reus is seemingly happy to continue his stay with Borussia Dortmund.
It is Draxler whose case is complicated thanks to a hefty release clause following his contract extension earlier this year.
The 20-year-old has expressed a desire to play for bigger clubs – Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United included – but Schalke have insisted he is not for sale just yet, especially in the winter.
Draxler had been subject to bids from Manchester City and Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, and it remains to be seen what a drop in temperatures will bring for the Germany international.
Blanc is looking to boost the value position on the left, something that is being filled with established right-wingers at the moment.
PSG have maintained a positive start to their title defence this season, though they sit in second place to Monaco only on goals scored – one behind Monaco.
