Aly Cissokho has revealed he knew Liverpool wanted to sign him for some time and, when the chance came to join the Reds, he had little hesitation making the move.
The left-back signed for Liverpool in the summer on a season-long loan from Spanish giants Valencia, where he had fallen out of starting eleven favour.
An approach from Liverpool came as little surprise to Cissokho, who had been well aware of the Reds' interest.
The Frenchman told RMC: "I am happy and proud to be here. I always wanted to play in England and with a prestigious club like Liverpool.

"I was fine at Valencia, but I had the opportunity to come to Liverpool, who had been following me since the beginning of the year.
"They wanted me to come for some time.
"I did not hesitate and I took my chance."
Cissokho has so far managed three Premier League appearances for the Reds after seeing his initial Liverpool career disrupted by injury.
