Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has declared that his side are keen to remain towards the top of the Premier League table.

The Merseyside outfit have had a great start to the season which sees the club in third place in the league standings with 20 points from nine games, just two points adrift of first-placed Arsenal.

And Allen revealed that Liverpool are desperate to cling onto their spot at the top end of the table despite facing stiff competition from fellow high profile teams.

"The atmosphere is great. We're towards the top of the table and that's where we want to be”, Allen told his club’s official site.
