Arsene Wenger has explained that he is confident about Mathieu Flamini’s availability for Arsenal’s huge Premier League match against Manchester United on Sunday.

The French midfielder picked up a groin injury in his side’s 2-0 triumph over Crystal Palace on 26th October and had to be substituted in the eighth minute of the game.

As a result, the 29-year-old missed the Gunners’ last two matches against Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund respectively, both of which his side won.

But Wenger has revealed that Flamini is in line to make his potential comeback against the Red Devils at the weekend.

“Flamini will join us in the session this morning”, he said at a press conference, via his club's official site.

“I am quite confident he will be fully available.”

However, fellow midfielder Jack Wilshere, who too missed his side’s last two games albeit due to an ankle injury, is still in doubt for the match against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

“Wilshere will join in as well, so we will see how they are after the session today”, Wenger added.

“We will see how he responds to his inflammation of the ankle.”
