New Manchester United goalkeeping coach Chris Woods has made a positive impression on the club's custodian Anders Lindegaard.

Woods landed at Old Trafford in the summer with manager David Moyes, following the Scottish tactician from Everton to join the Premier League champions.

Lindegaard, who serves as back-up to number 1 David de Gea, has been impressed with Woods' approach and has dubbed the goalkeeping coach "world-class".

The Dane told his club's official site: "It has been absolutely world class [working with Woods].

"I got a really good impression of Chris from the first day.

"He has got something about him, both as a coach and a human being. He is very calm, he is really invested in himself and what he can do.

"There is not the slightest doubt about what he thinks is right, he does not doubt any of what he does, he just believes in himself 100 per cent.

"That really shows and it gives us goalkeepers a calmness. He is very comfortable as a coach and as a person as well, I really enjoy working with him."

Woods has much experience of the game to call upon himself, having represented England at international level on 43 occasions between 1985 and 1993.
