Nemanja Vidic's agent has sought to play down talk that his client could be heading to join Juventus.

The defender's contract at Manchester United expires at the end of the season and he has been strongly linked with continuing his career in Italy with the Serie A champions.

But the Serbian's agent has been keen to distance himself from any media chatter surrounding his client, dubbing transfer talk as "fantasies".

Silvano Martino, asked about Juventus talk by Tutto Mercato, said: "Nothing is true, they are false rumours.

"I cannot comment on all the fantasies in the transfer market that are in the newspapers."

The 32-year-old has so far made eight appearances in the Premier League for Manchester United this season, while he has also featured three times in the Champions League.
