Paris Saint-Germain have joined Arsenal in the hunt for highly-rated Auxerre striker Paul-Georges Ntep.

The French champions have contacted Auxerre to enquire about Ntep's availability and register their interest in the promising 21-year-old.

Ntep has shone so far this season, particularly on the international stage with France's Under-21s, and has only seen his stock soar as a result.

Arsenal have already contacted Auxerre about Ntep, while Tottenham Hotspur, Marseille and Lille are alive to his talents.

The entry of PSG, who have according to French radio station RMC, been in touch with Auxerre, will be a worrying development for other interested parties however.

The French champions have near limitless transfer funds and have quickly become the most attractive destination within Ligue 1.

Ntep has declared his happiness at Auxerre at present, but has also been clear on his ambition to eventually move to one of the top clubs in the game.
