Ryan Giggs feels that Manchester United "killed" Bayer Leverkusen on the counter-attack last night.

The English champions thrashed Leverkusen, who sit second in the Bundesliga, 5-0 in their own backyard, qualifying for the Champions League Round of 16 in style and sending out a message to the club's rivals.

Now David Moyes' men can relax in their final group game against Shakhtar Donetsk and Giggs could not be happier with how the side performed.

"We killed them on the counter-attack and it was a pleasure to play behind the front four", the Welshman said via his club's feed.
