Juventus are poised to make the first move in the race for Jeremy Menez's signature, with €3m set to be the Bianconeri's opening bid.

Menez is expected to be on the move from the Parc des Princes when the window swings open in January, having fallen out of favour under coach Laurent Blanc.

Indeed, the winger has started just four Ligue 1 games so far, although he has managed to hit the back of the net twice and provide one assist.

Menez could be available for a cut price in January, due to a contract which expires next summer.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus director general Giuseppe Marotta is lining up a €3m bid for the former Roma man.

Marotta will not have it all his own way though, with Liverpool having been linked with Menez, along with Juventus' Italian rivals AC Milan.

Menez has prior Serie A experience having turned out for Roma between 2008 and 2011 before making the move to PSG for around the €8m mark.
