Robin van Persie has a chance of featuring for Manchester United against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, manager David Moyes has confirmed.

Van Persie sat out his side's 2-2 draw away at Swansea last weekend and their 5-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

The prolific striker has been struggling with toe and groin injuries, but Moyes admits he has a "chance" of playing at White Hart Lane.

Questioned about a Van Persie return, along with other squad members, Moyes said via his club's official site: "They've got a chance, they've all got a chance."

But Van Persie or not, Moyes is sending his team down to Tottenham with the aim of winning the game as the champions look to get into their stride, with the knowledge Spurs lost 6-0 to Manchester City last weekend.

"No matter when you play Tottenham, it'll always be a hard game.

"We're both coming off the back of European games, but we will go down there and try to win the game."
