Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is set to snub interest from other clubs in January to remain at the Etihad Stadium until the end of the campaign, despite Tottenham Hotspur and Inter being keen on the Bosnian.

Dzeko has struggled to command a starting spot under Manuel Pellegrini at the Citizens so far this term, managing just five Premier League starts out of a total of ten league appearances.

Yet despite the fact that the Bosnian would like to play more regularly, he is not ready to quit the Citizens in January.

According to Sky Italia, Tottenham and Inter are ready to pounce for Dzeko when the winter window opens in less than one month – but the striker is not minded to leave the Etihad Stadium just yet.

Indeed, at present Dzeko wants to stay put until next summer and then assess his options, a move which would also allow him the opportunity to force his way into the Manchester City starting eleven.

The 27-year-old joined the Citizens in 2011, moving in that year's winter window from Wolfsburg.

His contract in Manchester runs until the summer of 2015.
