Kolo Toure believes he has had a “new lease of life” since signing for Liverpool during the summer transfer window.

The centre-back, who was roped in by manager Brendan Rodgers from Manchester City on a free transfer, has already made 10 Premier League appearances for the Reds.

And the Ivory Coast international has explained that he is enjoying life at Liverpool and praised everything associated with the club.

“It's more than what I expected”, the defender told his club’s official site.

“The fans are unbelievable, the manager is great, my team-mates are fantastic and everyone around the club has been really supportive.

“I feel like I have a new lease of life and I am enjoying every minute of it.”

However, Toure, who previously played in the Premier League with Arsenal and Manchester City, does not wish to compare Liverpool with his former clubs.

But the 32-year-old insisted he is happy and that he is enjoying himself at the Merseyside club.

“I don't want to start comparing clubs or different times in my life”, he added.

“Right now, I just want to say I am very happy and I am enjoying myself. I am playing as part of a great squad with a great manager.”

“I've been very happy at all the clubs that I have played for and I am definitely happy now.”

Toure, who is contracted with Liverpool until 2015, has also been capped 106 times by the Ivory Coast and has six international goals to his name.
