Liverpool striker Luis Suarez believes it is too early to say whether his side are capable of winning the Premier League title this term.

The Reds, who thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 at the weekend, are currently second in the league standings with 33 points from 16 games, just two points behind leaders Arsenal.

And Suarez, who has banged in 17 goals in 11 Premier League appearances in the present campaign, feels Liverpool will be in a better position to assess where they could finish after the club's tough away fixtures against Manchester City and Chelsea later this month.

However, the Uruguayan international is of the opinion that the Merseyside club can win the Premier League or finish in a Champions League spot if they can maintain their concentration and level of performance throughout the festive period.

“I think it's too early to speak about that [winning the league]”, Suarez told his club’s official site.

“If we continue this level for the next two or three weeks, we can win the league or finish in the top four.

“But it's important that we concentrate, we have forgotten the game against Tottenham.

“It was very important, but we are concentrating for the next game. After Cardiff, we have two big games and we can see where Liverpool could finish.”

Liverpool will lock horns with Cardiff City at Anfield on Saturday before two testing away games against Manchester City and Chelsea on 26th and 29th December respectively.
