Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard admits that he knows he could use more playing time and may have a departure decision to make in the future, though insists he is happy at Old Trafford at present.

Lindegaard has managed just two appearances for the Red Devils this season, both coming in cup competitions, with the latest a bitter pill to swallow as Swansea knocked Manchester United out of the FA Cup on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was used to regular first team football before he landed at Old Trafford and, with David de Gea a firm choice between the sticks, may have to leave to experience that sensation again.

That is something he accepts, though at the moment the Dane feels he is living a dream.

"It is a very weird position to be in. It is new stuff. For me personally in this situation, I have to try and be objective, not subjective. It would be easy to get frustrated at not playing", he told MUTV.

"I have to try and rise above myself and see it from the club's perspective and see how much pressure we have been under as a club. Then it is easier for me to understand why things are the way they are. I would obviously like to think that in periods where we are winning all the games, there would be more game time for me.

"For me it is all about being a happy human being. I am that now at Manchester United. I am happy to be part of this big club.

"I enjoy the atmosphere we have in the locker room. It is my club since I was a small kid. This is my dream.

"The question is do I have to compromise that dream and seek elsewhere? Right now, the decision is to stay here and help the club, that is the most important thing."

Lindegaard's current contract at Old Trafford runs until 2016.
