PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi admitted to admiring Pjanic, but is aware of Roma's stance, with the player seemingly heading towards a five-year contract renewal.

Roma are due to take on Sampdoria in tomorrow's Coppa Italia last-16 clash.

And Garcia, who oversaw Nainggolan's arrival at the club from Cagliari, today told a press conference relayed by Sky Italia: "Nothing changes for Pjanic.

"I won’t speak of the market, but I will about Nainggolan since he is a Roma player. With him, we are stronger.

"His is not just a purchase for the second half of season but also for the future. If we play in Europe next season it’s not bad to have a player of his calibre."
