Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out an exit for striker Alvaro Morata this month, despite continuing speculation that he could move to Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a firm fan of Morata and has been linked with attempting to take him to the Emirates Stadium this month, particularly in view of the side's injury problems in attack; the latest blow has seen Theo Walcott ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Morata has struggled for playing time at Real Madrid, just one La Liga start out of ten appearances this term, and it has been felt he is open to greener pastures in a bid to secure regular first team football.

But, following Real Madrid's 2-0 Copa del Rey victory over Osasuna, Ancelotti has seemingly closed the door on a move away for Morata.

Questioned about Morata's future, Ancelotti replied: "Alvaro Morata will stay because I am happy with him."

The Italian added: "And he hasn't asked to leave."

Morata was on the bench for the Copa del Rey clash, being brought on in the 80th minute to replace Karim Benzema, who had opened the scoring on the evening.

The 21-year-old is under contract with Los Blancos until 2015.
