Arsenal may have suffered their second transfer blow in just a matter of hours, with the news that Real Sociedad have rebuffed a proposal for winger-cum-forward Antoine Griezmann.

The Gunners are thought to have had a €10m offer for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette turned down yesterday, with Les Gones ruling out selling the 22-year-old at such a price, while his agent has been quick to rubbish talk of a move this month.

And that seems to have sent Arsenal scurrying to Real Sociedad star Griezmann – though their efforts have met with just as little success.

According to French radio station RMC, Arsene Wenger's men contacted the Spanish outfit to propose paying €15m for Griezmann, hoping to take him to the Emirates Stadium.

But the Basque club turned down Arsenal's bid and demanded double – €30m – to even consider selling the talented 22-year-old.

With Theo Walcott being ruled out through injury for the remainder of the season, clubs are ready to drive a hard bargain with Arsenal, who they are well aware need attacking reinforcements.

Griezmann has played in 16 La Liga games so far this season, scoring an impressive 12 goals.
