Cristian Tello has ruled out any possibility of a winter switch, despite interest from Liverpool and Valencia in the Barcelona winger.

Tello has made just two starts in La Liga so far this season, but started last night's Copa del Rey victory over Getafe.

He was heavily linked with a loan move to Liverpool for the second half of the season, but Reds boss Brendan Rodgers had played down the prospect.

Barcelona themselves are not too keen on seeing Tello leave, though the 22-year-old feels June may bring an entirely different outlook.

"I will definitely stay at Barcelona until June, then we'll see in the summer", he was quoted as saying by Sport after yesterday's 2-0 win.

Tello's agent had, in November, denied his client would leave in the winter transfer window.

However, the forward is eager to get more game time, as he revealed his summer plans last year.

"I am young and I want to play", he had said.

"If I do not succeed at Barcelona, I will assess my situation at the end of the season."
