Real Madrid will look to give Manchester United and Chelsea competition for Sevilla defender Alberto Moreno, according to Spanish daily AS.

Left-back Moreno has been racking up followers ever since his summer triumph with Spain in the European Under-21 Championship.

Napoli and Juventus have also trained their sights on him, the former especially after manager Rafael Benitez promised up to two signings this week.

Sevilla sporting director Monchi had yesterday revealed Napoli's interest was in the air, telling his club website: "Napoli, I've heard about, but there is no deal and we have to be quiet.

"As of today, there have been no concrete approaches for Alberto."

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will want Moreno to be a potential replacement for Fabio Coentrao, who is himself linked to Manchester United and Monaco.

Should Coentrao leave this year, Real Madrid are willing to shell out the reported €30m release clause that Sevilla have tagged on Moreno.

The 21-year-old is currently sidelined with injury but has 15 La Liga appearances this season to his name.

He even managed two goals in the league, while his attacking sense has endeared him to Manchester United, who are keen to have an able successor for Patrice Evra.
