Valencia are interested in snapping up Iago Aspas from Liverpool and have already sounded out the Reds about a potential move.

Los Che are currently finalising a swoop for Napoli forward Eduardo Vargas, having been given the green light by the Azzurri after a €600,000 loan fee was agreed.

However, the Spanish giants do not intend to stop their recruitment there and, according to Valencia-based daily Super Deporte, are keen on Aspas.

The former Celta Vigo striker has failed to carve out a regular first team spot at Liverpool since arriving in the summer and has been linked with a loan switch away from Anfield for the second half of the season.

The Premier League giants however are uncertain on bidding farewell to Aspas, as he acts as a backup option to Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge.

Aspas has been of interest to Swansea, though the Welsh club's boss Michael Laudrup has expressed pessimism over Liverpool agreeing to release the forward.
