Ajax defender Joel Veltman is fast becoming a transfer topic for the summer as Arsenal and Chelsea join their Manchester counterparts in following the centre-back.

According to De Telegraaf, all four Premier League clubs have shown an interest in Veltman this year, after a relatively productive 2013.

The 22-year-old made his Holland debut last year and has promptly risen up the order for this summer's transfer window.

Manchester United and Manchester City will be keen to add to their defensive line-ups, given recent performances.

But they will also be facing competition from London as Arsenal look beyond this summer, with Chelsea already stating their intentions to add players in June.

Ajax are hoping to tie him down to an extension beyond his current deadline of 2017, which would boost his transfer value as well.

For now, Veltman remains an Ajax favourite, becoming a regular in the backline despite an early season injury.

Knee problems meant Veltman made his first senior league appearance of the season in mid-October, though he did go on to feature in the Champions League as well.
