Newcastle United and Manchester City have become the latest clubs to have an interest in Richairo Zivkovic, with several European giants already on his trail.

Ajax and Liverpool have been two of the biggest names linked in, and Barcelona were also credited with eyeing the talented striker.

According to Voetbal International, Zivkovic has now caught the eyes of both Newcastle and Manchester City, though his club may not be too willing to sell this summer.

FC Groningen have themselves confirmed the forward is being continually scouted at games but have denied wanting to cash in.

Zivkovic is believed to be keen to stay in Holland for a little longer, though it does not necessarily mean a stay at Groningen until his contract expires in 2016.

Ajax director of football Marc Overmars yesterday confirmed the club's interest in the 17-year-old, and was quoted as saying: "Dutch players are our preference if we look for possible reinforcements.

"In the Eredivisie, you see a handful of players emerge and Zivkovic is that."
