Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson thinks his side’s superb league form at Anfield is the reason behind the club doing well this season.

The Reds, who are currently fourth in the Premier League with 53 points from 26 games, four points off top spot, have dropped just four points at the ground in the current campaign.

In addition, Liverpool recorded memorable 4-0 and 5-1 victories over Everton and Arsenal in the Premier League at Anfield this term.

And Henderson insisted that rival teams are now worried about coming to the ground as the Merseyside giants have converted it into a fortress.

The England international further urged his side to build on their wins over the Toffees and the Gunners in view of moving up the Premier League table.

"I think now, nobody wants to come to Anfield. It's a fortress, really”, Henderson explained to his club’s official site.

"We need to make sure that we keep that going for as long as we can because it's a big reason as to why we've been doing well this season. We need to keep our home form going and build on the away form as well.

"The games against Everton and Arsenal were fantastic wins. From start to finish, both games were amazing.

"We've got to take a lot of confidence from them, but we have to do it every week as well. It will be hard to, but we have to make sure we do it on a consistent basis.

"We're working so well as a team in those games. We can build on that and push really high up the league."

Liverpool will next welcome Swansea City to Anfield on Sunday.
