Metalist Kharkiv coach Miron Markevich fears for the club's future after claiming unpaid salaries were just the tip of the iceberg.

The Ukrainian giants are this season banned from the Champions League due to UEFA's sanctions.

It appears to have hindered their financial stability, even though they are just five points off the pace in the domestic league.

However, it is now emerging that Metalist may have more than just exclusion to worry about as Markevich claimed things were worse than ever.

When asked if Metalist could go under, he told ua-football.com: "Maybe.

"There is just an uncontrollable situation at our club now, believe me. I am not exaggerating.

"Moreover, we have already not paid three months salary, so things could definitely be worse."

Metalist went through qualification last year for the Champions League but were denied a final playoff chance when a final CAS appeal was rejected.
