Kim Kallstrom has admitted he was surprised by Arsenal moving to bring him in during the January transfer window, never having considered such a switch could happen.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger hoovered up the 31-year-old midfielder on loan from Spartak Moscow until the end of the season, even pushing ahead and completing the deal when discovering Kallstrom had a back injury.

As such he has not managed a single appearance for Arsenal so far, although he was on the bench for the club's 6-0 defeat at Chelsea yesterday.

But the very fact he is at Arsenal at all is something that still surprises, Kallstrom admits.
