Schalke coach Jens Keller insists his side will be throwing their hat into the ring for in-demand Hoffenheim midfielder Roberto Firmino.

The young Brazilian talent has attracted a whole host of clubs to Hoffenheim's game this season, with English giants Liverpool, along with AC Milan and Wolfsburg, firmly in the hunt.

Hoffenheim coach Markus Gisdol has claimed Firmino's departure is not a done deal, but the suitors' list is growing and Keller would love to welcome the player to Schalke.

"Firmino is a good player and could help us", Keller told Bild.

"He is a player of great quality and would certainly be interesting."

Firmino has made 25 appearances in the Bundesliga for Hoffenheim so far this season, scoring 13 goals and providing ten assists for his team-mates.

The 22-year-old's contract runs until the summer of 2015.
