Galatasaray coach Roberto Mancini is spying moving for Liverpool defender Kolo Toure in the summer transfer window.

Toure, who is a player Mancini knows well from his time in charge at Manchester City, swapped the Citizens for Liverpool last summer on a free transfer.

The experienced Ivorian instantly became a fan favourite at Anfield, though has slipped down the defensive pecking order in recent months and has not been in the club's matchday squad for any of their last four Premier League games.

Now, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik, Mancini is ready to move to take Toure to the Turk Telekom Arena for next season.

Mancini believes that the 33-year-old would bolster his side's defence perfectly and, with Toure seeing his contract at Liverpool expire in 2015, feels the Ivorian could be open to one last big payday.

Toure has made 19 appearances in the Premier League for Liverpool this season, however the Reds defence has come in for criticism due to leaking a number of goals.

Should boss Brendan Rodgers opt to enter the transfer market for a defender in the summer, the former Arsenal man could be allowed to leave.

Toure would link up with international team-mates Emmanuel Eboue and Didier Drogba if he chose to head to Istanbul.
