Juventus forward Sebastian Giovinco has expressed his satisfaction at the team's 1-0 win against Lyon in the Europa League last night.

The Bianconeri scored the only goal of the match in the 85th minute via Leonardo Bonucci to earn an important away goal advantage against Remi Garde's men in France.

The win was particularly important for Antonio Conte's men after a disappointing 2-0 loss to Napoli during the weekend.

“After a defeat, getting back to winning ways straight away with an important performance in Europe is always nice, and it’s good for the team", the 27-year-old told his club's official website.

"It was a great feeling yesterday.”

The Italian international was impressive for his team after coming on in the 62nd minute and helped to put in multiple crosses into the box.

His performance against the French side helped him earn praise from the manager, who hailed Giovinco's ability to make an impact on the game.

“It’s always nice for a player to hear that, it means I’ve done well when I’ve played.

"I have little criticisms of my own performance, but if the boss has high opinions of it then there must be a reason”, Giovinco added.
