Former Chelsea and West Brom striker Nicolas Anelka has headed to Brazil, with Atletico Mineiro's president having announced the signature of the 35-year-old.
Atletico Mineiro president Alexandre Kalil had previously suggesting signing the striker was beyond the club's financial means, but it now appears a deal has been done.

Kalil took to his personal Twitter account to say: "Anelka e do Galo (Anelka is a Rooster)."
Anelka quit West Brom earlier this year over the row over his use of a quenelle gesture, although he denied he had meant anything anti-semitic by the salute.

The English Football Association had banned Anelka for five matches over the incident and fined him £80,000.
Now the striker will continue his career in South America.
