Chelsea defender John Terry has saluted his side's 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight, explaining they were fully prepared for every eventuality.

Having lost the first leg 3-1 in Paris, Chelsea needed to win by at least two goals to book a ticket to the semi-finals.

Andre Schurrle did half the job for Jose Mourinho's men by scoring in the 32nd minute, but Chelsea were then made to wait for their second and ultimate winner.

It came via a scrappy Demba Ba goal three minutes from time, sending Chelsea through on away goals, and Terry insists Chelsea never felt they were heading out.

"No [we didn’t think we were out]", Terry told ITV.

"I thought at 1-0 we always gave ourselves a chance with not conceding.

"We worked a lot all week on scenarios, what we do when it's 1-0, 2-1.

"For every scenario we had a game plan and we felt we got it right."
