Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella has fired the starting gun on his departure from the 2012 Ligue 1 champions by admitting he is "90 per cent" sure this season will be his last at the Stade de la Mosson.

Cabella has been linked with a number of clubs over the course of the campaign, with English champions Manchester United and Premier League outfit Newcastle United amongst that group.

Montpellier have been bracing themselves for a big offer for the playmaker, who is succeeding in helping the club draw clear of the Ligue 1 drop zone.

And they look unlikely to be able to rely on his services again next term.

Cabella told La Provence: "Now I know 90 per cent that this is my last season [at Montpellier].

"If a club make a proposal that interests me, Montpellier will let me go."

The question Cabella admits he is now pondering is whether his future would be best served by another step forward within France, or a switch abroad.

"I ask myself from time to time 'is it good to go abroad now to discover something else? Or is it better to stay in France?'"
