Inter Milan are looking to sign Chelsea striker Fernando Torres in a loan deal as their primary target Edin Dzeko is not believed to be interested in a move away from England, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

Dzeko was Inter Milan’s primary target for the summer as the Bosnian is Manchester City’s third choice striker and Inter hoped to lure him away from England on the guarantee of regular first team football.

But the former Wolfsburg striker is believed to be not to keen on a move away from England.

With Dezko’s refusal, Inter have turned their attention towards Chelsea’s Torres with an eye on a loan move, to tempt the Spaniard away from Chelsea.

The Nerazzurri have already made initial contact with the west London club over the proposed deal for the Spanish striker and it is believed that Chelsea are open to a loan move.

Chelsea are trying to convince the striker to accept a departure as Jose Mourinho is already looking for a big name striker for next season.

The 30-year-old has not yet decided his future and the deal is believed to be hinging on Inter qualifying for the Europa League as the Spaniard is keen to play in European competition next season.

Torres has made 35 appearances for Chelsea this season in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing five assists.
