Aras Ozbiliz has revealed he knew Manchester United were watching him from the stands when his Spartak Moscow side took on Krylia Sovetov Samara last night, but feels his performance has done him no favours.

Spartak Moscow grabbed a 1-0 win in the Russian Premier League clash, with Manchester United talent spotters watching on and assessing Ozbiliz.

"I know they came to see me playing", the former Ajax winger was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

"But I don't think they are interested after this match. I played my worst game for the last few years."

Ozbiliz is hoping that the Red Devils reappear to watch him again, but insists he will not be distracted if they do, preferring to keep it out of his mind.

"I don't want to think about it", he said.

"I just want to focus on my game."

Ozbiliz is a product of Ajax's esteemed youth academy, but swapped Holland for Russia last year when signing for Spartak Moscow.

An Armenian international, Ozbiliz has won 15 caps for his country.
