Fresh question marks have been raised over the future of David Moyes at Manchester United after it emerged that one of the club's owning Glazer family has met with current Holland coach Louis van Gaal.

According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, on Friday one of the Glazers spoke to Van Gaal, amid talk that the Dutchman is being lined up to replace Moyes at Old Trafford.

Manchester United crashed out of the Champions League in midweek to Bayern Munich and are now set to miss out on the competition for the first time since 1995 next year.

With money from a new BT deal kicking in for English clubs from the 2015/16 Champions League campaign, the Red Devils will be desperate to finish in the top four next term.

Question marks hang over whether the Glazers believe Moyes is the man to restore the club to a Champions League spot. But if the Red Devils' owners prefer Van Gaal, they may have to move quickly.

The Holland coach has already met with Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy and is strongly tipped to succeed Tim Sherwood at White Hart Lane in the summer.

Van Gaal, who is leaving his post as Holland coach after the World Cup, has made no secret of his desire to work in the Premier League in 2014/15.
